We are so happy to share with you the absolutely breathtaking autumnal castle wedding of Bridget and Matthew! Waterlily Weddings custome designed the color palette — heavily inspired by the Irish woodlands and fall season. With the incomparable floral talents of Patsie of Pastie & Co., stunning cake by Cove Cake Design, and more, we were able to bring Bridget and Matthew’s dream wedding to life in the stunning Luttrellstown Castle. The vibe was elegant with a vintage undertone and it worked perfectly. The custom design stationary featuring welcome sign, menus, and more on the day were courtesy of the always amazing Appleberry Atelier. This is a masterclass in how you can really dive into color for your wedding day, even a space like the Van Stry Room that has a lot going on, and with the right combination and our expertise, really create a stunning product. Because of the time of year, Bridget and Matthew opted for an indoor ceremony. Waterlily Weddings created a custom design concept for the space, utilizing the gothic windows as backdrop and accessorizing the enclaves with soft candlight. Patsie created a stunning floral arch and pillar candles for the focal point of the room. We chose to keep the chairs unadorned to really focus the eye to the larger bridal party and beautiful couple up front. 

     

     

     

     

   

   

 

For the reception, we took heavy inspiration from the fall season and brought in a lot of color and texture into the space. In particular, we really leaned into our dark green color tone to work with the existing color palette in the Van Stry Room, as well as hit the autumnal notes with something moody but sophisticated. This color was prominately featured in particular with the stationary: the stunning custom menus with the unique scalloped design and the escort cards carried the custom monogram crest and venue sketch. The flowers were a full expression of our autumn color palette. To bring in a bit more of the woodland vibe we opted for a stunning all-greenery centerpiece that featured hanging tea lights. Again, our pop of green in the custom colored taper candles was the perfect touch. The cake was an obvious stunner: playing more on the neutral and softer tones with accents of burnt orange and burgundy, gold, and seasonal fruit accents. 

   

And what better way to end an evening of feasting, dancing and music? With fireworks of course!
