Today we answer the top 5 most FAQ’s we receive.
Do I really need a plan b for my outdoor ceremony?
Yes!! Our priority is always to create the most breath taking outdoor ceremony setting but Ireland is stunningly green thanks to all the rain we get! Having an indoor option for your wedding ceremony that you love as much as the outdoor option is a must have — something we will not plan a wedding without. Think of your Plan B indoor location as insurance – a pain to pay for when you don’t need it but if it pours rain on the day you will be so glad you did!
I don’t think that we are going to make it over to Ireland before the wedding – is that a problem?
No, for about 85% of our clients that first trip they make to Ireland is the one for the wedding! That is our norm and the way we have been planning weddings for 15 years! We understand the faith you are putting in us in making your dream wedding day come to life in Ireland without you ever getting to be there before the big day. Please read some of the testimonials on our website to hear what are past clients have to say about the experience. https://www.waterlilyweddings.com/praise
Do I have to work with your preferred vendors?
We do have a carefully vetted list of talented and professional vendors which we created based on our experience and our clients’ feedback. We are constantly updating this list as we find more Irish wedding professionals who we believe are the very best in their field. It’s our job to match your needs, style, and budget with the right vendor. The decision on who you hire is completely up to you. We will be there to help you make the best decision.
Should we plan accommodations and transportation for our guests?
Yes, it is great to give your guests recommendations on places to stay during their stay in Ireland; we will definitely help you with that. You should make recommendations, help answer questions but do not become their travel agent! For transportation if there is a significant distance between your venue and the nearest town then yes offering a transportation is something you should do. Again this is something that we can help with. We can pick up guests from an airport or Dublin city center and take them to the location for the wedding and back the day. A stress free solution for all involved.
What Irish traditions can we incorporate into our wedding day in Ireland?
There are so many!! Maybe a handfasting where you “tie the knot” as part of your wedding ceremony. Or what about burying a Child of Prague the night before the wedding to ensure good weather. Or how about the tradition of the bride having a sixpence in her shoe. We love sharing these traditions and so many more with our couples. They are so many ways to make your day unique – let’s chat!
