“It must be near the sea, close to Dublin in a venue that is steeped in Irish History. Something different that we could never find in the US.” That was the brief from Steve and Tracey back in March 2014 for their destination wedding in Ireland. After talking and getting to know them a little more we all fell in love with the thoughts of their wedding happening in Wicklow Lighthouse which has safeguarded the scenic Wicklow coastline since 1781.
It is a peace seeker’s haven with inspiring and refreshing views of the Irish Sea! What a perfect place to say “I Do”. Fast forward to May 5th 2015 and although the weather sent just about every challenge it could on the day – rain, grey skies, gales and cold to bright, sunny and warm, – Steve and Tracey had the perfect day they dreamt of.
Here are a few of the photo that the amazing photographer Kelly McAllister captured on the day! Also a great big thanks to Dara Molloy (celebrant) Mary McCague (Violinist) Ellen Redmond at Splendor Cakes, Fussy Peacock (florist) Elaine at Aura Beauty (make up) and Seana from Studio 54 (hairdresser) – they all went above and beyond in making this day the truly happy one it was!
After the blue skies the rain cam and force us to have he ceremony inside the Lighthouse – but look at the stunning colors and the happiness of the couple…. beautiful……
The large windows in the Lighthouse were a perfect spot for a stolen moment!
The rain stopped and it was outside for some stunning photos. I love the yellow grosse in the background of this next photo – it me there is nothing more Irish!
Then off to Mount Usher Gardens for some fun shoots!
Finally on to Tinakilly House is Wicklow for the celebration…………and CAKE!!
