Covid times were challenging for everyone. Michaela & Toran were such a couple, finding themselves trying to plan a wedding in the middle of uncertainty and constantly changing rules for travel and in-person meetings. But we stayed the course and managed to put together a gorgeous intimate wedding that showcases how cozy and elegant an Irish castle can be in early spring. 

The custom color palette featured classic green, winter whites, and gold. It worked perfectly for the season and to accent the castle in an elegant and stylish way. Accents of black elevated the vibe to more formal. The stunning flowers were created by Fleur, and there on hand to photography the day was Paul McGinty Photography. 

   

   

   

   

   

The ceremony took place indoors. Being March, Michaela and Toran opted for an indoor ceremony for peace of mind and to be more comfortable. The stunning Gothic Hall at the castle serves as the perfect space for an indoor ceremony. The unique architectural accents instantly add an old world style on their own. We created a modern deconstructed floral arch to serve as focal point backdrop for Michaela and Toran; the green and white with gold accent was a perfect color palette against the room’s aesthetic. To create a romantic ambiance, you can never go wrong with lots of candles! Simple and elegant white pillar candles glistened off the glass sleeve holders in the space and helped to warm and enliven, creating the perfect setting for Michael’s entrance! The traditional ceremony included a unity candle and handfasting.

Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party gathered outside for some truly stunning photos. Springtime in Ireland is even greener than you can imagine, and if you’re luck to have a sunny day at sunset, the Golden Hour can really be a stunning accent to your photos. 

   

   

The reception included the emerald green-white-gold theme with modern traditional style centerpieces. We kept the table linens traditional to juxtapose the flower arrangements, and added lots of romantic candlelight. The beautiful cake was provided by Caroline Goulding. We carried the same motifs from the invitation suite for the custom designed menus and table numbers to keep the look cohesive.
