Their dream was to have every event in different locations on site. The ceremony took place outdoors in the garden. Elegant garden chairs lined the garden while stunning ground florals marked the asile. The focal point was a semi-circle arch that we repurposed for the cake table at the reception afterwards. The cocktails reception took place on the terrace and featured custom personalized stir accessories. The dinner and reception took place in the marquee, featuring the color palette in full glory. Finally, a sparkler photo op ushered the guests to the castle’s ruins for dancing and revelery into the night.
choosing the right venue
For Grace and Aaron it was an easy choice. Aaron’s family lives in Ireland and his grandfather lives in Wexford, so Wilton Castle was a perfect choice. With expansive grounds that offered flexibility and lots to choose from, Wilton provided the perfect combination of fairytale, relaxed, fun, memorable, and stunning backdrops to work with throughout the day.
the details
The color palette featured white, ivory, soft blue and fresh green tones to perfectly accentuate the castle and grounds, and give a slightly modern take on a classic wedding color palette. Focusing the flowers mainly with white and greens gave it a traditional feel, but accenting smartly with pops of blue in the arrangements, candles, and napkins gave it the perfect balance — a little will go a long way! Gold and an elegant, traditional style calligraphy helped round out the details on the day, while the cake took more inspiration from the garden theme.
